Mrs. Lauren Wolder (AM) —General Studies


Lauren Wolder has been a teacher at The Hebrew Academy since 2011.  Originally from South Africa, she has trained here and abroad. She is a dedicated professional whose name has become synonymous with 1st grade at The Hebrew Academy.  In addition to preparing students with all of the fundamental skills for reading, writing, and math, Mrs. Wolder is known for cultivating a life-long love of learning, good manners, and the ability to say a few words in Afrikaans.  Mrs. Wolder and her husband are very proud of their 2 children who are both former Hebrew Academy students, and flourishing in their education! When she’s not at school, Mrs. Wolder enjoys spending time with family and friends.  She loves traveling and exploring new places.

 Mrs. Candy Kahn (PM) —General Studies


Mrs. Kahn has been a teacher at The Hebrew Academy since 2017.  Born and raised in South Africa, she completed her teacher training and Degree in Primary (Elementary) Education at the University of the Witwatersrand.  She has taught both Kindergarten and First Grade here at The Hebrew Academy, and is the 2019 repient of our prestigous Teacher of the Year Award. She and her husband have two teenage children.
