Kindergarten Exercise Tip

IMG_2965.JPG

Thank you Coach Jake for supporting us in setting a healthy foundation for physical activity as early as Kindergarten. It is always remarkable to watch Coach Jake get down on the kids level to share the goals, expectations and highlights of the daily lesson making sure they are prepared and comfortable to engage.

Our Kindergarten students may be tiny - but they sure are mighty.

That Magical Aha Moment

Finding the volume of a cone with the same radius and height of a cylinder?

First we made a cone and a cylinder with the same diameter & height. Then we measured how many cones of rice it took to fill the cylinder. Then we measured how many cones of rice it took to fill the cylinder.

This hands-on experience helped our students understand the lesson!

Passover Expo

 Seder Expo.png

Research, creative ideas, and purpose driven learning came together in this outstanding Seder Expo that out Middle Schoolers prepared for our Lower School students.

The following Haggadah contains all the 'research' our middle schoolers conducted in their 'Walk Through the Haggadah' that led to the creation of hands-on museum exhibits that was created. The presentation were beautiful, and memorable.

Thank you for the hard work in making the Haggadah come alive.

The Middle School Haggadah full of insights that our Middle School students collected and researched.

Hebrew Academy students are fueled by the beat with smiles, cool moves, and loads of fun. Thank you Mr. H for empowering the Hip Hop crew to be more creatively inspired with the confidence to express it.

Hebrew Academy's rigorous curriculum coupled with opportunities for elective classes and creative outlets supports all learners on their academic journey to greatness.

Incorporating Music in Hebrew Language

 Alef.png

Our middle school students use music to help them remember different vowel sound patterns found in Ivrit.

Hebrew Academy teachers are always looking for ways to engage, inspire and motivate. According to studies both in the US and Japan, listening to and performing music reactivates areas of the brain associated with memory, reasoning, speech, and emotion, it doesn't just help us retrieve stored memories, it also helps us lay down new ones.

Thank you Morah Sarah for looking for ways to make our Hebrew Language learning experience so interactive and memorable.

Data and Measurement in First Grade

Measurement and Data in Grade 1.jpg

As part of their math lesson, Hebrew Academy, first-grade students learn to use tally marks and bar graphs.

Making course content relevant to students shifts the focus to the student and what energizes them to learn, and creates meaningful learning opportunities to maximize engagement, understanding, and application.
