This week, our Pre-K/TK students got a sneak peek into our nurturing kindergarten environment, and the experience was nothing short of magical.
As the Pre-K students stepped into Mrs. Kahn’s kindergarten classroom, they were welcomed with warmth and excitement. The room buzzed with curiosity as the children gathered to hear the beloved story “Bear Can’t Sleep” by Karma Wilson. This heartwarming tale of Bear and his friends trying to help him fall asleep sparked giggles, wonder, and meaningful conversations about teamwork and friendship. It beautifully reflected the core values we emphasize at Hebrew Academy—kindness, collaboration, and care.
The learning continued with a hands-on activity that brought the story to life. With guidance from Mrs. Kahn and our dedicated teachers, the children created a puppet bear crafts, practicing essential skills like cutting, gluing, taping, and counting. These engaging activities highlighted our approach to fostering academic readiness in a joyful and supportive way.
The excitement didn’t end there. The day's highlight was when our Preschool visitors joined the current kindergarten class on the playground. Laughter filled the air as siblings reunited, new friendships blossomed, and the children explored their future play space. It was a heartwarming moment that showcased the nurturing, community-oriented environment that Hebrew Academy is known for.
